Officially Unofficial Puppy
After two years of looking for a bred to standard Labrador litter with proven parents (siblings and offspring, too) bred by a breeder who has produced and placed many OTCh, MH, MACH dogs, I have finally found what I am looking for!
The bitch is a MH12, bred to standard, with some lower level obedience titles and most of her siblings are the same, plus lots of really talented kids out there. The sire is a CH, MH, UDX, halfway to his OTCh at five years old. He is owner trained and handled and at least for obedience (not sure about his MH) he was trained and trialed using +R techniques.
The puppies should be healthy, bred to standard and potentially breed ring material, driven, biddable, stable with a great off-switch. There are approximately nine puppies in there, due in a week or so. And, then we wait to make sure there is a good fit for me. They will be raised and evaluated through the Avidog program. I am hopeful that all goes well during the whelp and that there are nine happy, healthy, yellow performance puppies as a result! My first choice is a girl, but will take either sex based on fit.
I haven't told the boys yet. Sam is going to be beside himself. Linus is not going to be happy. And I'm getting the cat a taller cat perch as she's never had to deal with a puppy! I've also gone "all-in" and traded in my Outback with TransK9 for a mini-van with Stow & Go seats and three XL RTKs!
