In Memory of Ellie
My daughter's pup had to be put to sleep yesterday. Ellie was adopted as a 4 month old puppy exactly 11 years ago. We didn't know what was in the mix but she was slender and swift and had the softest ears imaginable. She was our Chase's first best friend and they played happily through many long days at home and on the beach. She had pretty severe inflammatory bowel disease and had to eat prescription food and only prescription food nearly her whole life. She was on a pretty hefty medicine regimen to keep her bowels and urinary incontinence under control. She was what you'd call a special needs doggy. Within the past 4 weeks she lost more than 10 pounds despite eating well. With the full support/encouragement of her vet, they went ahead and let her go.
We all have an Ellie shaped hole in our hearts today.

Ellie looks like a beautiful soul, so very sorry for her passing. Some dogs are very special in a person's life and Ellie was one of those. :image019:
Rest gently now Ellie, no need for medications or special foods across The Bridge.
