Poison?
Auggy Doggy is 13yrs and 11 months. Two days ago he began panting a lot. On his morning walk yesterday, he pooped more than I had seen as in emptying his bowels completely, yet good consistency, no diarrhea. Midday, he began vomiting, four times during the day. On a short afternoon walk, he pooped again, still good consistency. During the night, 3 vomits. he is resting now and will be going to the vet when they open. Three days ago, the short, rapid panting began. thoughts?

Heat stroke/exhaustion/intolerance can provoke those symptoms. INgestion of something bad could too. Good thing you are Vetting. Did Vet ask for urine and poop samples? WE just had an "episode" too, which is now over, not resolved really, as we don't know for sure what caused it. ONe thing Vet told me to do was feed smaller meals, four instead of two, and if kibble then mix it with water to form a gruel to keep hydrated. My Holistic/Integrative Vet said NO meds to stop vomit or poop as both are the body's attempt to rid itself of something that should not be in it. Good luck at the Vet's today.
ETA: Does he have a temperature?

Glad to see you've already got the vet planned. All good thoughts are with you...please let us know how the visit goes.

Good luck at the Vet!!
Cooper had an episode this past weekend also....diarrhea, lots of it, small amount of blood....fine now, don't know what caused it...thinking the excessive heat we have been having lately.
Let us know how your guy is doing!!
