I'm not known for my organizational planting skills but I love a good experiment, especially with seeds I picked up online for next to nothing in the middle of winter. I've had some really great stuff come up this year just from throwing seeds or seedlings down though. Something that I was convinced was a pepper just went nuts in the middle of my San Marzano tomatoes which, incidentally, also went nuts so note to self for next year. Those San Marzanos are wicked good!
The pepper was not a pepper. It grew like a maniac and flowered just as much. Then this happened in the pic. They're hollow and there are a bunch of them. Apparently, the tomatillo grows into this husk and can then be harvested. Just the strangest plant!
I love, love, love salsa verde. Hopefully this will either produce or I'll learn something from the experience.
I'm also working on lemongrass in pots. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
