Need new kitchen and front hall flooring. I'm just about decided on one of the new luxury vinyl tile (LVT) products in a light, stone look. The tiles I'm considering can be butted up to each other, without grout lines. But they look nicer with grout lines. Apparently grout has evolved and doesn't dirty as easily as it used to. Well that's what manufacturers claim but I'm leery. Dog drool is powerful stuff. The current floor is sheet vinyl, doesn't even have real grout and still the fake, slightly inset grout lines are impossibly darker where Oban eats than elsewhere. Where the cats eat too, they drag their food onto the floor.
SO, does anyone have such flooring with the new grout that does withstand dog drool? I'm looking at Congoleum Duraceramic but all of the manufacturers, Armstrong, Mannington, Karndean, that have LVT claim their new grout withstands dirt better than the old stuff did. But nobody claims to have tested on a Labrador Retriever. :)
