I made a pair of fleece pants with my walker foot. About halfway through, the foot started jumping all over the place but only occasionally. I tried changing to a new needle and changing the tension but neither made a significant difference. Managed to complete the pants but it was rocky.
Changed the presser foot, put the presser foot back to normal and tried it on muslin. That went fine so I didn't burn something out or ruin something fundamental on my machine.
Any thoughts? Is there a different needle I should be using? Ballpoint? Or is it the foot? Is it possible that the machine is so basic that it can't handle fleece? It does fine with duck canvas though.
Thanks.
