I have not. Mine will eat raw apples, they LOVE raw apples, but are not keen on raw sweet potatoes. They do like some good baked or dehydrated sweet potato though! Anything they will eat raw I do not bother cooking but if it's safe for them and already cooked, I let them eat that also.
LOL, if I bake an apple it's going to be for me, stuffed with butter, brown sugar and served with vanilla ice cream. I love my dog but all that butter, brown sugar and ice cream isn't good for him, he can eat his raw. :)
Sweet potato, baked, is one of the foods we used during a serious illness with month and half long diarrhoea. Sweet Potato has about 6 times the fibre as an equal amount of pumpkin so be careful how much you give. Fibre can bind up or loosen.
Welcome to the board. You sound like a live wire. :)
Same there, no apple gets past the cutting up stage with Mardi and Archie around. They love them raw. The baked sweet potato they get is what is left over from my plate; I can never finish an entire one. I don't purposely slice and bake them for the dogs.
I have never baked apple either, I am not sure I would get passed the cut up stage with my 2, lol! I do dehydrate sweet potatoes, mine will not really eat them raw. (Maxx will, he will eat anything really but definitely not Emma!)
Both my boys take apples and carrots without cooking them. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried them. thanks
Ha ha yes! Maverick hates carrots and spits them out. The apples he likes, but only if they don't have the skin.
