Bread and Butter Pickles
A girl at work gave me this recipe for canned bread and butter pickles. She brought me in a little jar that she had made and they were great.
I had a bunch of cucumbers from my garden but still had to buy a little pack at the grocery store. I can't say how mine will turn out I followed the instructions but really wasn't sure how many cucumbers I had and I cut the sugar back by a bit. I ended up with 3 full 500ml jars as you can see.
I got worried because the lids wouldn't pop but realized I had them pretty full and when they eventually popped they startled me. Funny.

Used to make pickles and the bread and butter pickles were delicious. Yours look beautiful and I bet will taste great.

They look awesome. I did a few last year as I had a bumper crop but doubt I'l be able to this year. Being from the midwest, I do love my pickled green tomatoes (yummy in Bloody Marys esp!), Clausen style, so have finally got that recipe down pat pretty nicely after several years.

My mom has been canning pickles all summer, she got a ton of cucumbers from her garden this year. She made bread and butter, dill, and sweet and spicy. They all turned out amazing, I love homemade canned pickles. I've been eating the heck out of them.
