I honestly don't know if there IS a sunscreen for dogs. Where do you want to put it?

Why? Labs have a double coat that protects them from sunburn (and many other things). If you don't shave your Lab I see no reason for a sunscreen.

Labs don't need sunblock unless their a dudley, then you could put some on there nose to protect from the UV.

A yellow lab with brown pigment wouldn't need sunblock either. I don't think many folks actually have labs with true pink pigment. What we commonly refer to as a Dudley has a shade of brown pigment on their nose, no different than any chocolate lab.

Interesting I thought the dudley referred to a lack of pigment around eye, lips and nose.

Aside from the comments on Dudley's, there must be a dog safe product available, even if it's a human product. There are some dogs who are basically hairless that need to be protected.

Don't know where I'd put sunscreen in a lab though.

Wouldn't it have to be edible? How would you teach a dog not to lick it's nose? Guessing it's for the nose.

I have wondered about this, too. I suppose because I sunburn so easily that I want to protect Mocha. But I figure if I can't see skin through all his hair, then neither can the sun Although I have thought about shaving him bald to eliminate the shedding :0

A quick google search showed that they have products for dog. but never used human stuff since it contains zinc oxide which is toxic to them!
