Crossing paws (is it OK if they are bunny paws?) for Bruce. Hoping his belly gets back on track real soon.

Regarding the water, think Bruce's system is already transitioned. But do think water is important and I will be asking my breeder for a large bottle of her water. I have always done this with our rabbits, considering how very sensitive their digestive system is, and how any slight thing could set off their gut flora. As we have a full home reverse osmosis system, that cleans everything from lead, pharmecuticals, to radionulides out of our water, we need to slowly transition, just like food, the change to our water.

I'm definately going to tuck the water thing into the memory bank for the future. I think even if you're traveling, it would make sense to take water with you for the dogs. It's a really good suggestion! Thanks smartrock!!!

Bruce has a two of the pills so far, didn't poo for about 12 hours, but had a movement after his breakfast this morning, and it was pretty good, a bit soft but well formed.

Glad to hear about the pills starting to do their job. Hoping it continues.

Metro works wonders and fast. I was going to recommend you stop the pumpkin but I see in an earlier post your vet already told you it can have the opposite effect. Ive never owned a dog that could eat pumpkin without getting softer stools, I actually give it to my pom who is regularly constipated. Not sure why people use it for diarrhea, I guess it works for some dogs.

I hope he continues to feel better!

He feels great, been playing bitey face with Sophie for the past hour or so. His poo is pretty much the same, well formed but somewhat soft. It's never been what I call hard since his arrival, so it's what I would consider normal for him. I'm hoping it stays this way once we are finished with the metro........

Luna had soft serve poos every day since she came home. We switched her to grain-free around 5-6 months and it's been nice and firm ever since. If the meds don't work, and nothing else seems to be the culprit, I would look into switching the food.

I'm a big fan of grain free. I switched Sophie when she was 15 months. I may switch Bruce sooner as the Royal Canin food I'm feeding Bruce isn't the same at what I was feeding Sophie. They switched to chicken by product meal, and I'm not a fan of the down grade in protein. I've still got about half a bag of the RC and will finish it out, if we start having poop issues again, I will more than likely change to Fromm.
