    rough night

riggins and i had a rough night.....he got into the cats food yesterday & got diarrhea. we were outside about every 45 minutes all night. we're both tired today. finally ended about 6 this morning. somehow the gate was left with enough of an opening for him to get into the room. glad it's over. we snuggled up on the couch for the night, and he was good enough to let me know when it hit each time.

Aww poor baby. I've been through bouts of the trots with Sophie and she still doesn't give us the heads-up. Made for quite an entertaining middle-of-the-night cleanup once.

Gosh, how much did he eat of it? I know he's just a baby but I've sometimes fed my dogs cat food with no repercussions, when out of dog food. Adult dogs though.

Poor little boy, glad that's done with.

Why is it always at night? When Latte escaped and eat a huge bag of raw hides (I'm sure Mocha helped), it was during the day. She was just fine until 2 AM and 4 AM.
Glad Riggins is OK. Now I'm wondering if a bout of unexplained diarrhea with Latte a while ago may have been her getting into the cat's food.

It certainly does seem that if they are going to projectile vomit or diarrhea it's at the most inconvenient time. Like 2 am. Or 2 minutes before you are rushing out to work. Or when they are staying at your son's house and his wife doesn't like big dogs.

I've really been lucky over the years as mine have consumed cat food, cat poo and litter, grapes, onions, green peppers, and one ate a whole dish of brownies, including broken glass with no negative effects. Just hope it continues.
