Fur thinning in areas.. 5 months old.

I have never had a puppy before, so I will apologize in advance if this post is a silly one.. Sorry! She's 5 months old, going on to 6 months soon. Had this thinning for about a week now. There's more than what's pictured, but you get a general idea.

Lilly's starting to show areas that are visibly thinning & in certain light its kind of like she has spots LOL. She does have a few white hairs on her though.

    The picture didn't attach.

Could it be that she is shedding her coat?

Its hard to tell in the pics but I can kind of see a few spots that are losing hair. Is he showing other symptoms, scratching, behavior change,etc...? Have you changed food or something recently? Could he possibly be ripping the fur out himself?

I don't think she's ripping the fur out herself, I haven't seen any tufts of fur anywhere or even large amounts of it, its all spread out like typical shedding. You see the hairs on the carpet, floors, furniture, clothes.

She's scratching, but its not excessive, I check her for fleas & ticks daily (she's on Trifexis, we got 2 samples from the vet when we adopted her). She's the same pup, just has a lot more energy. Eats the same amount, I keep her hydrated even more now due to hotter weather, goes potty normally, sometime I wonder when tug of war or fetch will end, she can go on for a long time.

She's on the same puppy food she's been on since we got her too, I haven't changed her to adult formula yet, we still have another full bag so I want to get through that one & see how I feel about changing.

I wonder if she's "blowing coat" like my rabbits do. I have one that will "blow coat" to a point where there are bald patches. Thought there was a problem too, but found some rabbits will do this. The skin should turn a black pigment, which is showing good fur growth. Then the new fur will appear. Don't know if dogs do this, as though I had shedders, none ever showed signs of bald patches.

Regarding the scratching, could be her skin is itching because she's shedding her puppy fur and getting her adult coat.
