Just want to add that limping IS a sign of pain. Dogs, and especially labs, will not cry or whine to express that they are in pain. They are very stoic, but make no mistake, if your dog is limping, he is in pain. I hope your puppy got checked out and is OK.

Looking for an update! Glad you went to the vet. Labs rarely vocalize for pain, unless its very bad. I will always say, no matter the age, limp=at least a call to the vet.

Update...Oakley was much better the next morning. The vet checked her out and said everything was fine. We left with some pills for pain with an anti-inflammatory. She did fine on the trip and at the beach! Thanks for all the info. Sometimes I don't know what I'd do without this forum. It sure calms my nerves!
