Thank you all again. It's time for me to quit my crazy worrying and enjoy my puppy. If she has HD, it is out of my control and I will do what I can to make her as comfortable as possible if I have to go down that road. I will remain aware from here on out.

With that being said, I did stumble upon a post mentioning normal gaits of canines such as the "gallop" and the "canter." I looked up both on YouTube and I believe Bella is cantering instead of bunny hopping. So, I will put that to rest for now. Regarding the sloppy sits, you all have given me great information. My chocolate lab started sloppy sitting all of the time around 13 due to her issues (not HD). I don't think it is the case for Bella.

However, I will still have a conversation with the vet in a week just to stay on the safe side. Thank you all again! Give your labs a hug from me!

my Murphey is now 1 year old and still lays on the hardwood floor in what I call the "frog dog pose" or it seems described as superman above.. legs straight out in front and in back belly flat on floor. makes his chunky back legs look like big meaty turkey legs!!!!! no hip issues in lines of my dogs.. apparently he just likes this.. does it a lot!!!

Thor has a very proper sit when he's interested in something or he is told to with a sit command.

The rest of the time he sloppy sits or does the Superman pose. I notice the superman pose more when it's hot out and he's laying down on the cool hardwood floor.

My lab has done this since she was a puppy and still does it frequently. I never thought to take a photo but must try and get one. Very cute!
