Daisy doesn't particularly like being bathed but she does like playing the hose. I put it on a gentle spray and play around with her. She likes trying to bite at the water. I keep her on a slip lead so I can wet the rest of her and soap her down. We play again with the hose when its time to rinse. Getting toweled down at the end is her favorite part.

I've never been a frequent bather of my dog(s), so Theo hasn't had a full body bath yet. He does try to get into the shower with me every morning and ends up at least 75% wet most days, so I don't anticipate a problem. I have most frequently showered my dogs in the human shower, usually one with sliding doors. I think I would try that along with being nonchalant about it and just make getting wet part of the routine. If you don't get her to be okay with it pretty soon though, she may always have a rough time with being bathed.

If it's your choice to bath, no way. If it's their choice, they go for it, i.e., a pool, mud puddle, creek. Darn dogs, have to shove them out when it's raining to do their business but if I go with them, it's an entirely different story, fun time.

I only bathe when there is a really good reason. Sophie is 3 years old, and she's had one formal bath. I play with them with the garden hose, which they love. I consider a walk in a good rain storm close enough to a bath.

Best way to bath is to go to a dog wash - there are 6 different locations where I live where you can do it yourself. Use their products or bring your own...just tether the dog, they give you an apron, hose them down, wash them off, towel dry and that's it. My boy only gets a wash once or twice a year...unless he is completely covered in mud or something...then I'll just hose him off and let him air dry.

My guy hates being hosed, even on the lightest spray. He yelps like someone is beating him.

Luckily I figured out that if I fill up a bucket and dump it on him, he's fine with that. Go figure
