    Recently adopted a puppy

I recently adopted a puppy, which the owner claims is half lab and 8 weeks old. However all of her teeth have not came in and she is no bigger than 4-5 lbs, she has the form of a lab, but is so very small. She is also sleeping A LOT.
Any insight as to if any of this is normal or not would be greatly appreciated

We only get older dogs so guessing a pup's age is not my strong point. Your vet should be able to give you a good guess.

    BTY, one cutie you've got.

Congrats, very cute pup. I would think that weight is very small compared to a lab at that age, but beign a mix (was the mother with the pup?) - breed is really a "guess" (and super hard to guess on a young puppy)

Puppies DO sleep a lot, especially with the extra stress. But good to get her to a vet and ensure she is healthy (make sure to not let the puppy on the ground at the vets).

Congrats on your new pup! What a cutie! I would take your pup to the vet to get a professional opinion on age and weight. Know that puppies have 2 speeds, high (constant play, curiosity), and low (sleep, sleep, sleep!) so the fact your puppy sleeps a lot is normal.

He is really a cutie but I have no ideas on what he might be mixed with. Congrats and I agree a vet chreck up and shots may be needed.
