Poor little guy. Only thing I would do is probably live at my Vet's till he seems better, no experience with one that sick so young.

Can your husband report the remaining pups to Animal Control without getting in trouble with his boss?

no advice but sending good thoughts and energy to the poor pup (and siblings). Good on your hubby for trying to get all three but at least he could help one.

Hope he feels better soon! I’m guessing the diarrhea and not feeling well just took more out of him than it might otherwise have. Hoping that once the coccidia is cleared up and he gets some good nutrition in him he will start to thrive.

Glad you got the fecal in. That was what I was going to suggest (coccidia) since the met hadn't worked on it. It is very very common to pups that age regardless of cleanliness, and extra common as soon as they change living conditions. Hope everything is on the up and up from here on out. Definitely keep him on a good probiotic from here on out as his gut has been compromised. Anne

What kind do you recommend? The vet put him on Proviable-DC already

I’ve used Bene-Bac plus on my current pups off and on since they were about 6 weeks and had a bout of what we think was giardia - it cleared up with meds and hasn’t come back so we didn’t test further, but that was my vet’s guess - he lives in our neighborhood and said it is everywhere around here but that Chloe has probably become immune to it so we haven’t noticed a problem. Now we only give it to them for a day or two if we see a loose poop (usually from eating something they shouldn’t in the yard) - so far that’s all they’ve needed to get back on track.
