Thank you all for the comments. I did not get a pup from the breeder/litter in question. My decision did not have anything to do with the birthing complication. After further research, I decided to put a deposit on a pup from another breeder and he should be ready to come home mid-May. Even this litter had a couple pups not make it so I understand how common it can be. This selected breeder I believe is offering great lineage, clearances and I liked how the dogs were kept at the home a bit more.
I believe I am ready given my loss last year and this gives me a few more weeks to prepare my home as it's been many moons since I had a pup running around haha
