      Diarrhea...UGH

Molly has had diarrhea off and on since Saturday night. It seemed like it was getting better Sunday afternoon and yesterday, but then last night and this morning it's back. Sunday morning she seemed a little lethargic, but by Sunday afternoon she was back to her normal crazy puppy self, so I wasn't too worried. I ended up staying home not feeling well myself yesterday, and she seemed ok.

She hasn't eaten anything since dinner last night around 6, so I think I'm going to skip giving her breakfast this morning and let her fast for the day. I know I've heard feeding rice and chicken, but is there anything else I can give her to help out?

I'm going to drop off a stool sample at the vet this morning. Is there anything else I should do or give her to make her feel better?

Poor Molly, so sorry to hear she's not feeling well. There's a thread that Snowshoe started for Oban. Janedoe suggested pumpkin. This is something we use for our rabbits when they have an upset tummy. Maybe ask your Vet when you drop off the stool sample?

Hoping Molly is back to her ole self real soon. Sending good thoughts your way.

Thanks! I totally missed that thread.

I have been giving her pumpkin, though it doesn't seem to have done much.

Hi Kelly, there is another thread going about this. I will go grab it for you and paste it here. Yes, fast her and drop a stool sample off.

I do recommend trying the bone broth I posted in that other thread and a digestive enzyme for when she is back on food.

      How is Molly doing now?

      Watery.

I talked to the vet this morning after dropping off a stool sample. She suggested the bland diet of chicken and rice, and she is also giving me some medication. I will probably end up taking her in depending on what came back from the stool sample. The vet was more concerned about her being lethargic, even though she hasn't been completely normal, she hasn't been so lethargic that I was concerned. Although I am now.

Would be worried about her being lethargic slightly too. Hoping Molly is back to her ole self soon. Hoping you get some insight from the stool sample and the Vet

Hubby is taking her to the vet tomorrow. She had chicken and rice for dinner. Here's hoping it gets better.
