O.K.., but maybe like people they're not all the same.
BTW, once I was criticized here for taking Rocco to the vet too often, by some of you same folks.
    Whichever way the wind's blowing.....

I remember that thread. If you're referring to me, I did inquire about the frequency of your visits, not in criticism, just asking in case an inexperienced pet owner was being fleeced by a vet practice that was encouraging people to come in so they could find something to charge you for. There's a difference between thinking something may be wrong with your pup and going to the vet, and taking your healthy pet in frequently when he doesn't seem sick and no shots or other procedures are due. I didn't know your experience with dogs, it was not offered in criticism. As I said then, take him whenever you wish.

Nobody here would criticize you for taking your dog to the vet if you thought something was wrong, and there were specific indicators of a possible issue (e.g. a dog that normally eats all its food suddenly doesn't). People may have inquired about the frequency of your visits with no specific symptoms or concerns (as outlined in your posts). Totally different scenario, and at the end of the day, I don't think anyone is trying to keep you from taking your dog to the vet. You seem to always believe that you are treated differently/worse. Yet the scenarios in question that you seem indignant about are markedly different in context (an example: people indicate that posters can PM them for breeder suggestions is within the rules, but you have a problematic post previously for naming a breeder or specific litter listing in the body of the post which is against forum rules, that's why you got an infraction and those saying "feel free to message me" didn't).

I wet the food right before they get it. My Labs faces go in the bowl, and don't come out til the bowl is clean and shiny. I've never had one that was remotely a slow of picky eater.

The flip side of the coin is; once we use additives- water, can food, or in my case table scraps,
it can be difficult to get them to eat plain kibble.
That's for then, now's the time get some weight on him.
Thanks I'm really trying! My big guy Samson, like others on here, never walks away from food! The weight is starting to show through on Asher. One day at a time. The food I feed him takes forever to soften. This morning after grinding my coffee beans I decided to clean the grinder really good and tossed his food in there. I grinded it up pretty well (not like powder). Added water, a teaspoon of wet, and it disappeared! Did the same tonight and gone! Can't wait for our appointment Monday so the vet can give him a good look over and I can get his weight! He is full of energy that's for sure!

LOL, does the coffee go into the grinder after? We are a no muss no fuss diner. Kibble in the AM with a Vit E cap on top. Evening is the 'gourmet' meal, kibble, a dollop of wet food and some warm water. Everything is gone, pretty quickly. If they don't eat I'll wait 24 hrs but then we'd go to the vet.

Haha, no. No fresh coffee until this weekend when I can get out and get me a new grinder.

We used to thoroughly soak Bear's food when he was little. It took about 30 minutes to soften completely. I think a few people here either do or used to soak their food the from the night or morning prior, so for like 12 hours.

That's bull, I posted that I knew a breeder with a litter in my area and if anyone was interested to pm me for contact info., named no one.
Now I see examples like " I know breeders there, send pm for list". That's different how?
