    I would not cut a growing puppy's calories especially because he left his mother too young. He should be eating at least 3/4 cup of food, 3 times per day and I would increase to 1 cup of food, three times per day at 8 weeks. And then increase the total amount as your puppy grows.

    If your puppy does not get the proper amount of calories, he will not grow and develop properly.

    I would also not feed a lamb based food to a growing puppy. Chicken would be preferred.

    well he been pooping well and is growing fast. chicken it will be...chili eats lamb and has been doing so well, and ziti likes to sneak in and snipe chili's food....so thats why I thought of lamb. but chicken makes sense.
