How to feed on Thanks Giving

Its possible I am overthinking this but I am going out for TG dinner. I have to be there at 4pm. I usally feed at 5pm. If I put Mollys food out there is a good chance Cassie my 6 year old will eat it. So I have been feeding them seperatly.

My options. are to feed her way too early and leave her crated till I get back or maybe feed around 6:30 or 7 Any of you know what the better choice is.

You could give her half before you go and half when you get home. I've done things like that. Even though you need to be at the dinner at 4 pm, it might be served later than that, maybe not until 5 if there are any appetizers or visiting to be done before the meal, then you don't want to eat and run. So, I've done the half and half meal before and it hasn't been a problem bathroom wise. I feed the first half early enough for a bathroom outing before I leave and feed the second half as soon as I get home. I don't know if the dogs care (sure they do, at 5 pm they let me know it's time to eat) but it makes me feel better.

The half and half is a good idea. Maxx throws up if his dinner is more than a half hour late, the half and half has worked well for him. Emma is a very picky eater and could care less when she is fed.

Luna normally eats around 5 but she'll eat at 8 or 9 if we absolutely have to give it to her that late. Honestly, I would feed before because dinners always take way longer than expected.

I would do half and half. We always bring Bacon with us so we can feed him there. Our family loves Bacon, and he is so good at being calm.
