Congrats on your puppy!
If it were me, I would give the pup a few weeks to settle into your home then gradually make a switch to the regular pro plan puppy food.
I'm picking up my puppy next week and the breeder feeds Pro Plan Savor Puppy. I've read on the boards in the past that pro plan savor is not recommend because it contains soy. Should I switch foods? And if so what would be the best and hopefully easiest transition? Thank you for your help! (:

Congrats! Must be exciting bring home a new pup. Did you talk to your breeder about how you feel about the food your pup is on? Maybe the breeder could give you direction on what to change to and how to change to it?
Definitely would do what Sam I am suggested if you didn't get any clear answer from your breeder.

With Pro Plan, just get the Focus Puppy Chicken and Rice, not the Savor one and you'll be fine. I doubt you'll have a transition problem and it will be better without the soy. This one isn't one of the big "change" problems.

Thank you, I am very excited! And no, I haven't talked to her about my concern, but I definitely will. Thank you for the advice. (:
Ok, I did notice the two formulas are very similar. If I do switch to the focus would you recommend a gradual change or can I just use it from the start? Thanks so much!
The kibble portion is the same, the soy makes up the fake meat chunks. I rotate between Pro Plan formulas no problem.

Mine can go from one proplan to another with no issues as well. I prefer the select line myself. Its just a personal preference.
