My girls love fresh foods, be it veggies, or meat scraps, or whatever.
They try to stand under the cutting board when we are prepping veggies especially, lettuce, tomatoes, and red bell peppers, are favorites, although they won't turn away from many, if any vegetables at all. Fruit, they eat it all, but LOVE berries. Apricots and sweet white peaches, fresh off the trees, even Valencia/navel oranges off the tree are also favorites. I think domesticated dogs are omnivores like bears, at least opportunistic eaters. LOL What ever is fresh and in-season!

My 2 eat raw as their evening meal and it includes a variety of veggies. I also use all kinds of fruits and veggies for training and as snacks. High value training treats are little pieces of string cheese.

Yes they can and a BARF diet specifically includes them as an essential part of a meal. Don't introduce too much too soon or they are liable to get loose stool. Cole crops can give some gas. No onions, raisins or grapes. There might be a chart in the stickies of foods they can eat safely.

I squeezed an orange this morning to make marinade for pork tenderloin for supper and Oban ate the leftovers, peel and all. And he had about a 1/4 of an apple after his walk and as treats when I ice his leg.

Yep, Hoku gets fresh veg and fruit daily. We mix spinach, green beans, and carrots / zucchini into her meals w/ boiled salmon (boil salmon in a small amount of water, throw the veg in at the end so they wilt and pick up the salmon water flavor). For fruit, she'll eat just about anything: some apple, peach, berries, whatever.

Just no grapes/raisins/onions. Those can cause health issues.

I feed fruit and veggie scraps often and then I add veggies for filler, typically green beans. Some veggies make they fart a lot, so I do try to avoid those! They love bananas and apples (no seeds, too many over time can be harmful). During blackberry season they carefully pick those off the vine and eat them.

A couple years ago I had to fence off my veggie garden because they were going in and picking cherry tomatoes and stealing big mouthfuls of my kale!

Some make me fart a lot too, Hemi wishes I would avoid those.

Argos is 92 lbs. Our nutritionist recommends four cups of fruit and veg pureed daily for him. We grew a raspberry bush in their fenced yard so that they could self serve.

It's all good. Just avoid what can be poisonous like what was mentioned here already but also apple seeds. The green part of the potato should be avoided too.
