First and foremost, make sure there is not a dental problem going on. That can create horrible breath.
Choosing a food can be a roller coaster ride. I've not used Purina; I feed Fromm. The bath breath can come from the gut.
My Cha Cha has the WORST breathe! She did not come from a breeder - she came from two people I know breeding their own dogs. When she came to me, I don't know what kind of food she was eating. On their advise, I switched her to Purina Puppy chow. In the last two weeks I have changed her to Purina Dog Chow. The transition went great! She is 8 months old. I read on various websites that it was okay to put them on dog chow. I may have made a mistake doing that. I do have a concern about her horrendous breath though. I have not chatted with her vet about it. I have read about all the dog food reviews and quite frankly, for me, it is like reading a foreign language. It is too much information for me to digest. I read a few threads on here and it looks like Purina Pro Plan seems to be popular. I would like to hear your thoughts.

I'd look very closely in her mouth for any foreign object (stick etc) that may have become lodged or abscessed. How about her teeth? Are they all in and okay???
I'm personally not a Purina fan, but yes, I'd go to a higher quality / better balanced formula for sure... have no idea what the Ca/ P level is for the "chows".
And a visit to your vet is in order if you can't find anything obvious in her mouth.

Thank you both! Her teeth are pearlie white and no tartar! I cannot see anything foreign in there. I will definitely make it a point to discuss with the vet.
A vet can see things that you cannot and Labs are really good at now showing pain. So, a vet visit is in order.
Also, there are better options than Puppy Chow, such as Pro Plan Sport.
Finally, are you sure she is not eating poop? Do you supervise them outside? Pick up poop immediately? Or, is there a cat or some type of fowl poop they could be getting into?
After reading the nutrition posts - I gather Pro Plan seems to be a food that you all agree on.
We have had issues with her eating her poop when she was a puppy. She is supervised, so I know she is not eating any poop at all. We have 3 cats that use a liter pan. Cha Cha does not have access to it. Her tongue is dry and she has access to water all day!
I talked to the vet this morning. She said to switch Cha Cha to Pro Plan all life stages in the purple bag. She will check in her mouth at her next appointment.
Niner has icky breath and always has. He is on PP, but the salmon one. I don't know if that's it though. I did ask the vet about and she said some dogs do have smellier breath than others
