Brooks 4 days shy of 7 months

Took a few pics yesterday and I've been having a miserable time trying to upload to photobucket. It keeps jamming up and just won't cooperate. It's taken since last night to get these pics upload. Really getting frustrated and if anyone can recommend a better choice let me know.

    Brooks and Sophie.

    Dad stop!!!!

I'll try to get some more uploaded. Brooks turns 7 months old on the 6th. He's doing great with training, both obedience and field. He did his first retrieve over 50 yards today. Did a good job with the mark and slowed slightly at about 35-40 yards, but once he saw the Dokken, it was full speed, picked it up and straight back. He's really a true Lab with great drive and is very eager to please. We've done 2 advanced obedience classes (the same Bruce and Sophie were/are doing) and the instructor is very impressed with how well he's doing. Now if I could just stop him from going nuts every time he meets someone, we'd really be doing something!!! I really can't thank Anne (Windycanyon) enough for letting me have this boy!!

OMG Brooks is taller than Sophie now! LOL

He will calm himself over the next year when he meets new people. I pass out an article to my puppy families, that basically says that, your dog does not have to meet everyone he/she sees, just ignore people and keep moving, or treat him as people go by. You want him more focused on you than others anyways, and he is plenty socialized. ;-)

I think Sophie's face says it all about her feelings on having to pose with baby brother! :-)

I use smugmug for pix. You might try that if you have an account.

I thought Bruce was a little puppy you got just awhile back. He looks like a big grown up man dog now. I second the Thank You to Anne for doing all the hard work to make these dogs so wonderful.

I think Sophie is slumping. I think she's given up the competition for who is taller and is settling for comfort. I bet she still rules the roost though.

I get him out around people at least 3 or 4 times a week. Our local Lowes has a little bench set up pretty close to the entry, and after we walk around working on obedience I'll sit on that bench for 20 or 30 minutes letting people walk by while I have him sitting or down. After the New Year I'm going to try and go to as many show and go's as I can. Rally, obedience, what ever. I feel he would easily pass at a BN or RN event.

Sophie was slumping. She really doesn't like the whole picture taking thing. Those couple of pics took about 15 minutes to get her to cooperate. She's such a sweetheart, but she really is her own self. She turned 5 (can't believe it) in November, and I still haven't figured out what makes her tick!
