We added a new member to our pack about a month ago now: BlackFoot's Salty Dog - "Ace". Ace is a bold and brave pup - sometimes a little too confident in himself; for that reason, I think, it took about a week and a half for our Blue Heeler to warm up to him, and about 3 weeks for Jake, our Lab. Now at about 13 weeks old, he's been put in his place a few times, and is learning what he can and cannot get away with. All dogs are given their separate times, and the older dogs seem to have come to terms with the fact that Ace is NOT going back where he came from. Haha!
We've got big plans for this little guy! We hope that he'll like to pick up birds for my husband, and that he'll like to run agility with me. So far, he has been SUPER-enthusiastic about learning new things... has really soaked everything up like a sponge.
Our breeder also did an excellent job of laying a foundation with him and his socialization, and we have tried to continue it. He has been on quite a few adventures.... enjoying the time while he is little, and looking forward to seeing what the future brings!
He's been fishing several times... just falls asleep on the boat.
First time at the beach... got to run with the big dogs!
Excited to practice recalls with my son.
