I googled up Welsh Springer Spaniel breeders in Ontario last night. To add to my list of Brittaney and field bred ESS possibilities. Archie, you made me do that.

There aren't many resources on this breed that I was able to find.

Archie, you are one little cutie. You can see that he has grown in the short time you have had him.

One of the lucky pups with a kind human, a warm lap, safety and security. I wish all dogs could know this. I wish all humans could be this kind. Hemi still comes up to me a couple times a week, umm dad I really think I would be more comfortable in your lap right now. So up he goes and sleeps soundly and warmly.

I'm going to admit that I wasn't always the nicest to Jules (my choco lab that passed this December). I was ignorant and knew nothing about dogs when I got him. Jules was by guinea pig. He came from a store with issues I didn't recognize. I never snuggled him like this partially because he was already 25 lbs and super hyper. I was so overwhelmed with him. When he passed I did a lot of reflecting on myself and how I treated him at times. I wasn't mean to him by any means but I had my "not so nice" moments. I loved him. I wish I was more understanding and patient with him. I thank Jules every day for letting me learn on him (not like he had a choice...) So, with Archie I'm trying to do better. The vet said if we stop snuggling him then he'll lose that desire. I always wanted a snuggle dog. So I'm going to snuggle Archie every day! I'm trying to be more patient and understanding with him. Just trying to be a better pet owner thanks to Jules.

Snuggly dogs are the best, even when they are 70 lbs of shedding drooling lab with no concept of personal space. Archie is adorable! And of course so well behaved (well, when sleeping!)
