So this not so little guy arrived last Thursday night from VA. 9 weeks old an already 18lbs with huge feet! My black labrador Takoda is a small male and only weighs 63lbs so I have a feeling Zeke will make him look even smaller when he grows up. Zeke does not sit still hardly at all so I do not have many good pictures yet but here is a video of him taking on Takoda. Enjoy!

Zeke certainly appears to be pretty fearless! Fortunately Takoda looks like he's up for all the action. I hope Zeke doesn't turn into the little neck-hanging vampire our younger one was! Zeke makes me tired just watching him.
What a little cutie! Hope Takoda has in him to start correcting him and letting him know when enough is enough.

Me too. Takoda is too chill and little Zeke is taking advantage of that. I am hoping to funnel most of Zeke's energy into field training. He is so different from Takoda at this age. Takoda was half his size and loved to just sit and stare at you, Zeke does not stop moving. Will be a very challenging year or so ahead for me.
Takoda appears to be enjoying the play a lot!
One suggestion, if I may... can you remove the collars? I'd hate for one or both to end up hurt or worse. Mine are all chipped so I just have to rely on the chip if for some reason they were to get out of my place. I only put collars on when we are going places. Anne

Thought the same thing as Anne. Too much potential for injury with collars on.
Takoda's such a good big brother!

Takoda does seem to enjoy it. They do not have unsupervised time or play together yet at this stage as I am closely watching all their interactions. The play time in the house was a "rare" allowance I normally don't let pups run around on the slippery tile but Takoda was not chasing him and being so good I let Zeke go a bit wild for a few minutes. When they play out in the yard it is supervised with collars off. I appreciate the warning though.
Zeke's collar comes off when he is crated and both collars are loose enough for them to slip right out if needed. I've owned multiple dogs for years and never had a problem with collars although I am aware of the horror stories on the internet that circulate. This city is full of want to be dog rescuers that would love to steal a chipped dog that is friendly if they were to escape without a collar so I choose to have all my dog's collared but their tags are a plate on the collar itself and not just hanging off the loop. Both are chipped as well.

Wow, another lab named Zeke. Hope he's as much fun as mine has been, smart, fun loving easy to teach guy. Here's my Zeke ...
here he was about the same age as your little guy (his new brothers weren't to thrilled)
and here he is now ....
Boundless puppy energy in Zeke. Very confident, he should make for a good recruit for field training.
Good luck to ye and Takoda.
