    Barley weekly update

They change SO FAST at this age, I feel like a week between updates is an eternity!

Barley is almost 15 weeks old and just graduated puppy kindergarten last night. One of the regrets I have about how we raised Thor was being too paranoid during that vaccination phase and keeping him entirely at home. He loves other people and dogs but he tends to come on pretty strong. We’ve been taking Barley everywhere with appropriate precautions in place. He was being super chill at Home Depot the other day until he saw himself in a mirror. [emoji38]I hope that he will be a bit more relaxed than Thor in public situations. He’ll be starting Obedience I in a couple of weeks and that focuses on basic obedience among distractions.

Hanging out in puppy jail, aka the ex pen, during a neighborhood bbq.

Chilling with dad and big brother Thor as a pillow.

Barking (loudly) at his doppelgänger in Home Depot.

    My proud puppy kindergarten graduate!

I need to get Honey out to Home Depot etc maybe next week. Just got her last combo. I snuck her into one of my work clients' warehouses yesterday and she's been out and about quite a bit really. Actually went to our dog show set up day at only 9wks .

The pictures are so very cute! I love the way Barley gets along so nicely with his big brother.

Yes...puppies grow way too fast...don't you want to keep them little just a little longer!

gosh he is adorable! love love love the forehead wrinkles! as fun as Trigger is at this age, with some basic manners/commands mastered, i do miss the baby puppy stage, everything is fun and new and an adventure.
I too decided Trigger needed to be exposed to as much "safe" stuff as possible, so he got schlepped around everywhere. Nothing phases him now. He is totally confident anywhere we go. I won't say "relaxed and confident" because he is just so EXCITED to be places, but still manages to concentrate when needed.

Oh, he's so cute. That last picture makes me want to kidnap him, lol!

We took Kimber everywhere when she was a puppy and we got tons of compliments about how chill she was in new situations. A bonus: new places would exhaust her and she'd take a nap! LOL.
