    Presto is 15 weeks old!

The P-man continues to grow up! Milestones include being able to get on the sofa (sigh), playing with the cat fairly nicely, and he's really become cuddly and affectionate with me.

His love for training is increasing. He's already engaging me to train when he knows it's time (training building, I'm messing with training stuff, etc.) and he's wicked smart. We're taking a foundations class online and he is pivoting on a bowl and has a four on and front foot platform, a nose touch to a target and to my hand, and a chin rest in my hand which I will use for cooperative care and a quiet hold. He spins in both directions and he's doing really well with his impulse control games. We're also working on collar grabbing because he doesn't like that and petting while working because he doesn't like that either. When working he doesn't want to be messed with!

Presto went to his first hunt test environment last weekend and had a good time. He didn't notice the gunfire and he tracked a dead duck then tried to engage it in play before picking it up once he found it. It was a two hour drive each way and we loaded my friend's crate and dog in the van with my two and he did well with the interloper and new set up as well as the long drive and hanging out in the van between training sessions. He met a couple donkeys and we worked on ignoring them and then expanded that lesson on Wednesday at my agility trainer's barn when the sheep and turkeys were in the front pastures. He's used to my chickens and not all that interested since they are older and very boring.

He is all ears and legs right now and funny, his tail has not yet gotten long. He has his final shots next week, when he's 16 weeks, so we'll see what he weighs.

Presto is such a cutie pie! I actually love the big ears, but I know it takes a while before they grow into them.

I love the second picture where he's chasing the big dog! It's nice that Presto is being exposed to so much at an early age.

Sounds like he's learning quickly too!

Oh how much I love the “floopy” stage where they are all ears and legs! Such awkward adorableness. Presto looks and sounds so fun!

So much fun and that recall looks impressive. I saw the pic of him in front of the chickens before I read the post and was thinking this was dog torture. lol I love that you are exposing him to all this training.
