Presto is 5 months and a week or two

Clearly I am losing track of time! Anyway, Presto is a little over five months.

Last Saturday he attended an obedience fun match and, well, he had fun. I had the yellow boys with me and afterward we wen't on a little adventure along the Santiam River and took the long way home, stopping for little hikes and to play in the river.

Sunday we had agility and a little get together benefit a women's and children's shelter that takes pets. We all brought either new or unwanted pet related items to donate, had food, played agility (Presto had a lesson) and there was a photographer there who snapped some pictures for a donation up in my instructor's mossy rock hill. I included one of the photos below, but that's all I have for now and there was a quick photoshop job done on it. We also did holiday photos a couple weeks ago but those are not ready.

Tuesday we went for our swim assessment at the local indoor dock-diving pool. Presto might want to dock dive some day, but we went to get the assessment out of the way. I like to rent the place a few times a year in the winter for the boys. The first five minutes he was like, "no way, this is too weird!" but quickly settled in to fetch a squeaky chicken. A lot of dogs don't like the ramp. Here is a video.

I noticed in one of Presto's pictures that his one eye wasn't looking too great and so he went to the vet and was diagnosed with puppy pink-eye. We got some meds for that. I was nervous that he wasn't getting better at the end of the week and then the next day he was cleared up. The eye didn't bug him but being in full-blown teething mode sure did! Poor guy; I've never really had a puppy that was clearly affected. Friday evening he was panting and a bit restless. I could smell the blood on his breath so took a look. He had one upper canine that he'd just lost. The next morning, he had another one dangling and bleeding, which quickly came out. Then I found a molar in his food dish. He took the day off on Saturday with lots of frozen Kong and nap time, so I took the big dogs out to the river. Sunday morning he felt great, so we did some training and went swimming (here's a video) then to an agility lesson. Sometime between last night and this morning, a bottom canine came out. One bottom canine left! Good riddance to razor sharp puppy teeth!

Presto hangs out on the toilet when I get ready for work in the morning. Not the whole time, but when he checks in. He is also really into the shower. I have to crate him while I am in there, but sometimes he hops in for "fun". And, one day, he took the shower curtain with him! He's a monkey and tries to climb on everything. I took him into a Wilco (farm store) to get chicken food and he jumped on the lower counter where the bags are since he's too small to get on the taller counter. He loved the attention and the squealing young women who were fawning all over him.

So lucky to find his teeth. I've only ever found two little kitten teeth.

He's so handsome! Loved the video!

May I ask...where is the beach that you take him to? It's nice that you are so close to it.

I take him to several beaches, but the one we go to most is in Washougal, WA on the Columbia River.
