    Scent Work

    Aye Mates,

Three month old Labrador Retriever gun dog trainee "JACKSON" is seen using his nose to hunt for treats during this morning's training session. JACKSON is steadied whilst a treat is tossed into various cover types and then he is released to find the treat by use of his nose. As JACKSON gets close to the treat he hears the command "DEAD BIRD - FIND IT". Upon finding the treat the reward is instantaneous and the desired behavior is marked using a clicker and a verbal "GOOD BOY" ! The pup loves this highly motivational game and he has already learned to use the wind direction to his advantage to find the treat. JACKSON is coming along very nicely with his early training.

    Cheers,
    THE DOG WHISTLER 🍀🇺🇸🇮🇪
