Amber is 14 weeks old today

My husband found this ramp with stairs to make getting Amber in and out of our vehicle as she continues to grow. Our last lab Sophie was blind and deaf at 11 years old and my husband had to lift her in an out of the vehicles. The man who makes these ramps did it because he believes his lab had leg issues from jumping out of his car. We want to start her young so she gets use to it.

    Amber sure is cute!

Ive seen several types of stairs like yours, and they are a great idea. I don't allow my dogs to jump out of the car, I lift them out and set them on the ground, which is getting harder as I get older. I just don't have any more room in my Highlander for something like that!

it doesn't take up as much room as it looks like it might. It's light as well so even I can lift it. But I know I won't be able to lift her in a few months!

    Oh my goodness...what a cutie pie...sweet girl.

It's a good idea not to let your Labby jump in and out of a vehicle!

    Great idea on the stairs.

    She's adorable.

I really like those stairs. We used a ramp for our first Lab Brutus (came to us at 120 lbs./3 years old, reduced to 90 lbs. in a year). After he lost weight, my husband just lifted both him and our 90 lb. Akita out of the SUV. With the two we have now, lifting isn't quite as much of a chore....both in and out for these two.

Those look great. If it's the same brand, I've seen them at dog events and they are sturdy and not all that heavy. I'm still using the same ramp gotten when Potion was with us. I'm a big believer in not having dogs jump up and especially out of car/SUVs.
