She’s 18 weeks now... it’s crazy how fast they grow and change at this age! We were practicing paying attention with distractions, and the neighbour’s cows were very curious and relaxed about her being nearby. She’s definitely developing some ability to focus (at least long enough for me to take a picture) .

All legs so cute. Does she play with the cows
A down stay enough for a photo at 18 weeks? Pretty darn good, I think. Pretty girl.
You'd think cows would know what dogs are? But I've had cows and horses show so much interest in a puppy. Everyone loves a puppy.

She definitely wanted to play with the cows . But we stayed on our side of the fence and used them as a training aid since they seemed completely unbothered by her presence. I thought they were adorable being all gathered at the wire watching her so curiously.
I couldn't see the fence and wondered about them all standing there in a group, looking curiously at her. She awfully cute!
She is adorable. Does she try to put grass, and sticks in her mouth. My Amber was born late November and loves picking up everything when in an area like that.
She picks up every stick, pinecone, rock, clump of grass....yup . We’re on a few acres, so I’ve given up telling her to leave the sticks and pine cones - we practice “leave it” frequently with rocks and grass clumps - I hope that someday the novelty of putting everything in her mouth wears off (or she learns to just chew sticks) lol.
Leave it and drop it are becoming my most used words! I just am so afraid she will swallow a rock or something worse. We don't have a fenced yard so she is walked on leash so we see what she is doing. I can't imagine turning her loose in a fenced yard with all the stuff that we have here in our yard.
I feel ya....our property isn’t fenced either. Bella is usually on a long leash in the yard so *sometimes* I can get to things before she swallows them. No rocks have been swallowed yet (that I know of) and that’s mostly what I focus on keeping out of her mouth. I think Bella and Amber are pretty close in age....Bella was born early Dec. We’ll just have to hope that it gets less frequent with age
Love the picture with the cows. I can't see the fence so it just looks like the are admiring her.
