      Lilly's growing up so fast.

My baby Lilly's growing so fast, she's a 4 month old lab mix. Don't know her mix though, I just see lab. <3

We adopted her April 26th & she was 17lbs at the time.. She's now 22lbs & going for her spay on Friday.

      Lilly when we adopted her.

      Lilly now!

She has an under bite & she makes it look good. LOL!

Pretty girl, she does look all Lab! I assume if you adopted her she came from a shelter or rescue, is that why you are spaying so young? Not to sound judgemental or preachy in any way, have you done any research on early spaying? I completely get it if it is what you are required to do, just wanted to make sure you understood all the pros and cons.

New member with a rescued Lilly too! Your Lily is looking like she's really settling in nicely. Good luck with the spay. Our Lilly was spayed at 5-1/2 months. Not really thrilled that she was this young, but unfortunately now in New Jersey, the rescues or shelters will not release any animal without being neutered/spayed. With our dog Jake, we were able to bring him home and wait for the proper age to neuter.

Lilly went through the spay with no problems. It was difficult though trying to keep her calm though so that she could heal properly. It seems better for your Lily as she has had time to adjust to you and your family and will be coming home after the spay knowing she is safe. And you know how to keep her calm because you have built a relationship already.

Yes, she's a rescue. I would rather wait but they've been on me since we got her. We just scheduled it last week for today. The woman's saying she's going to remove Lilly if she's not spayed.. Big scene. You'd think they would allow you to wait.. so pushy.

Oh she definitely is. I swear when she takes her naps during the day it is just like a battery recharging. LOL.

She is pretty. Do what you have to. I was told by our vet it would be ok unless you planned to hunt, agility, things like that.
