You really need to meet them. When we were meeting Bacon's litter, they warned us that one of the males had a cut on his lip. It was from normal puppy play, but they said it may leave a scar. Apparently many families didnt want that pup just because of the possibility of the scar. However, when we met the pups, we had a clear favorite, a sweet little black boy who played well on his own, was mellow, and wasn't too mouthy. We got luck enough to get him, scar and all! My sweet Bacon was passed up based on a scar, and I was sure lucky, because he is the best dog I could have asked for!!!

My advice is meet the pups and make a choice from there. You will definitely have a fun time looking at all the pups, learning their personalities, and playing with them!

Thanks all!!! Just spoke to the breeder yesterday, she said she has her eyes on the green one for me. I'd def. need a Mr. Sensible, I wouldn't be able to keep up with a pup that is too curious and active...

I am always interested to watch them develop and change over the weeks. Watching a 2 week old, and comparing that pup to the others, then again at 3 weeks, they change so much! by the time they have their puppy evaluations at 7 weeks, they've mixed things up so much over those 7 weeks, its incredible. then of course the breeder makes their final pick, and sorts out who's going where with the others. gonna miss a litter evaluation this monday that i';ve been playing with every week for the last 6, they're really cute chunky monkeys now!
I'm sure your breeder will keep you posted on their development and personalities in the next bunch of weeks.

At this age, even looks will change.

Go with the one the breeder picks based on personality.

I'm guessing the OP was mostly interested in sharing their excitement about the coming puppy and thought the 'which puppy' question was a way to share the anticipation. Istangy, feel free to keep posting photos and sharing your excitement. We love to participate!

You make a great point Kimbersmom! It is impossible NOT to be crazy with excitement when you are waiting for a puppy. I just wanted to make sure that the OP knew that looks could change frequently and matching a puppy to your lifestyle is one of the most important things a good breeder can do for the puppy and the family it goes to. I apologize if I sounded harsh, it was definitely not my intention!
