You should probably just play it safe and get them both...
Hello! The Breeder will assess their dognalities...but so far she has asked me which one I am leaning more towards in with regards to looks. They are both cute! I want one that has a more show like look, wider head, shorter snout, stocky...
For the more experienced...which one do you think would have the shorter snout, wider head? Mr. Green or Mr. Blue? Thanks!
they will be 3 weeks this week! 5/6 more to go!! =)))
You should probably just play it safe and get them both...

Rather than focusing on *possible* looks let the breeder know what you are looking for, personality wise. Do you want the mellow puppy, the middle of the road or the bold, outgoing one from the litter? The breeder spends 8 weeks with the puppies and should be able to best fit a puppy to you and your family wants/needs. Honestly, there is no way to tell which puppy, at 8 weeks, is going to have a "broader head", etc and the breeder is hopefully breeding to standard anyway.

Yes, we have mentioned to the breeder that we want a mellow guy...She said she will keep that in mind...but in the looks dept. was just wondering which one I am more interested in...
Can't wait till they start walking around and playing!
We won't be able to visit them since they are in IA, so only pictures =( I wish we were able to have the pup pick us! that would be such an honor =)
Breeder will be flying him out to us unfortunately...but she has reassured me that she has flown out many pups and they all do fine.
I am curious what made you go with a breeder in IA? (If you don't mind saying, of course!)

I found a couple of breeders but timing wasn't right...they either had pups already available or nothing yet and nothing planned. I found this breeder of merit with over 30 yrs experience and spoke to her and she was very nice and helpful and she had pups that were due, the timing was just right. I'm paying more than some of the local places here plus I have to pay airfare...but I've heard wonderful things about her pups. The breeder as well as her pups were highly recommended.

At 8 wks, the breeder can evaluate some aspects of the muzzle / growth plates (bead in the inner eye area) and possibly make some generalizations on head shape if he/she has the Puppy Puzzle videos. Honestly, I'd go more on personality.
(short muzzles are incorrect, btw). Anne

I agree with Anne, don't go by looks, go with the personality that you think fits.
On a side note, when Sophie's litter was born, there were a number of pups that I could choose from. I really, really wanted a black male, but there was only one in the litter, and they had someone on their list who had been waiting 5 years for a black male. They told me I could have him if I wanted, but I felt they other person had been waiting longer than me (3 years) they should get him. I had a pick between a yellow male, a yellow female, and a black female. When they sent me pics of the pups at 6 weeks, I really like the yellow male. In the end I told my friends to just pick one you know I'll like. The picked Sophie, and I could not be happier. The yellow male I liked so much, he ended up with a great family, but he was very gangly and did not look anything like I thought he would.
So basically, ya never know.
