I picked up my new puppy on Christmas Eve ! Just now back to a computer to share pictures and his story. Here we go...
Meet Chilbrook's "The Champ is Here" (aka Champ!-yes i named him). This is my first pup I have ever purchased from a breeder and the entire process has been enlightening and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The Sire has been over the rainbow bridge for over 10 years and I got a pup from the last of his sperm the breeder had frozen.
Here is some information about the parents. If you want to know more about the breeder, I am sure google is your friend.
SIRE: CH Majestic Saxton (Ben) was born in June 1992. During his career which included finishing his AKC championship with 3 majors, earning field awards, and graduating in harness as a guide for the blind. Ben also produced a large number of successful service dog pups, many of which were also guides for the blind. I was able to freeze and save semen from this remarkable fellow and after many years of waiting for the right female I am pleased that this litter has come to be. Hope has all the complimentary qualities to Ben and with such a combination of two outstanding parents these should be some very special puppies.
Bitch: Hope exemplifies the versatility of her breeding. She learns quickly, works effortlessly, and is always eager to please. Her flawless movement earned her championship at the tender age of 13 months in tough competition. She has won the coveted Total Dog award, has an all-breed Best In Show to her credit, as well as Best in Specialty Sweepstakes wins. Like her sire, “Ranger” she is rarely out of the ribbons.
I'm in love! Congrats on your beautiful boy!

Congrats on your new pup! Just FYI, if you plan to register your dog, AKC will reject "the champ is here" as a formal name because of the use of the phrase "champ."
You can check available names yourself by typing in your preferred name into AKC's name check database: American Kennel Club - Dog Name Check
The above link also shows some rules regarding AKC registrations.

Yes, you can't have "Champ" or "Champion" or anything like that in an AKC name.
"Words and phrases that may not be included in a dog's name:
- Champion, champ, sieger or any other AKC title or show term, either spelled out or abbreviated."
It may see silly, but the reasons for it are obvious once you give it a thought. Unscrupulous people could name a dog in such a way that the name was deceptive.
However, Champ sure is a lovely little boy! Congratulations! He's adorable!
