That’s good to know - I have a couple pair of those, but they live in the car, so the pups haven’t gotten to them (yet)

I haven't found the second half yet, but highly doubt he swallowed them. He usually leaves things he destroys in strange places around the yard and it's only a matter of time before I find them.
Sorry that happened! My eyes are about as bad as yours ... I do the contacts and cheap(er) shades thing myself.

Yeah but, really high distance correction doesn't work well in the same materials that work for lower Rx. The progressives and coatings add price, yes, but the lens material will still need to be of the type that won't give you yellow rings around the edges of your lenses. Plus you likely won't be able to get high indexing unless you go for the more expensive lenses. Polycarbonate lens, for instance, only have a refractive index to just below 1.6. I have 1.7.

Yes, I do contacts with regular shades too. But I still need glasses for backup.

I get my glasses from a legit eye doctor. I usually get Trivex. I just don't get the nighttime anti-reflection coating on my shades because I only wear them to drive, and I'm not wearing shades at night

My everyday glasses come fully loaded. I've tried Warby Parker and liked them, but I don't trust the quality enough for everyday.

Oh Comet, I highly doubt you will ever learn the art of at least looking guilty, let alone sorry!

I have always gotten my glasses at lens Crafters and bought the extra insurance. Lost a pair to a puppy and another to the truth k tires at the boat ramp.Good luck on finding the other half.

We have joined the "my dog ate my glasses" club today. DH was less than pleased.
