Aye Mates,
Given her registered name "LEXIE BELLE ON THE COBBLE", it seems this photo of LEXIE atop o' the stone wall is apropos. At age 7 months, I have worked with LEXIE for just shy of a month now. We are well into basic obedience training, have done intro to live "clipped wing" birds, LEXIE regularly enters water but we are saving full out swimming for warmer water temperatures. LEXIE has had a steady and progressive exposure to gunfire and is now down to toleration of a 209 starter revolver within 10-15 feet with no signs of stress. LEXIE is well socialized and loves running / playing with other retrievers she has been introduced to.
LEXIE BELLE ON THE COBBLE.
LEXIE has started "PLACE" training and does a number of obedience related drills whilst "on-lead". Additionally, LEX has had lots of exposure to the double end (ramped) training table and to the Force Fetch training table. Early exposure to the tables tend to make the location on the tables much less stressful for the pup when it comes time to begin "HOLD" and "FORCE FETCH" conditioning.
LEXIE has very little field performance ancestry in her pedigree, that leaning heavily toward conformation bloodlines. It will be interesting to watch her as she moves through gundog training.
