Brooks first couple days

Brooks is settling in nicely, only had one accident which was my fault. He was sleeping and I ran out to turn off the water to the flower beds, noticed a wet spot about a half hour later. Can't blaming him for that. We've started basic obedience with sit and stand. Will start adding down tomorrow. Here are a few pics from the last two days.

His first vet visit. To say the girls at the office like my dogs would be a gross understatement. As soon as I walked in they snatched him right up!

Something tells me he's going to like the vets as much as Sophie does!!

If you live on the east coast you know how miserable it's been the last couple days. I just looked and the heat index is 108. I set up the kiddie pool last night for them. Sophie has never really used it, I put Brooks in a couple times and he jumped right out. So he got sassy with Sophie.

Here's how he was sleeping when I woke up this morning.

"Hey Dad, take my picture now!!"

"Come on, let's go in, it's way to hot out here!!

Time for a nap!

He is such a cutie!
We are waiting the birth of Mochas little sister, 7/13-16 maybe. Seeing Brooks make the waiting so much harder!!!!

Oh my gosh, what a cutie pie. Yep Barry, he's going to keep you on your toes. Really, he sounds like he's fitting right in to your home life.

Love him! And of course Sophie too. I think they might find their way in that pool soon! My husband has been doing 2 am walks/runs with the boys. Love seeing your pup dates!

Sophie has never liked the pool, Bruce would be in there splashing around, having a good old time, and Sophie would just stand there and watch. I took Sophie for her normal walk tonight after the thunderstorms, and if anything it's even more humid that it was. I was soaked with sweat after a 15 minute walk.

Heat's been miserable. Hope it breaks soon for all of you.
