So did the vet actually do a fecal test on her? Just curious since your other post wasn't clear on that-- sounded more like a guess. I hope they were right but I'd prefer not using metronidazole (sp?) on puppies unless I knew what indeed I was treating. Panacur is a safer choice for giardia from all I've read. And if no fecal, you could be dealing w/ coccidia-- very common in puppies her age and requires a completely different treatment.
I send my pup owners home w/ a vet history sheet outlining when next shots are due etc, and remind them when they go to take a fresh fecal sample in. So many parasites to deal w/ in puppies anymore it seems, and your side of the state is far worse than here. My vet actually includes the fecal w/ my well checks at 7.5 wks so it's nice to have that on record for that time. Of course w/ coccidia, the life cycle is only ~13 days, so things can definitely change rather quickly.
