    Brooks at 15 weeks

Brooks has been a bit of a jerk this week, I attribute this to teething and a growth spurt. Windycanyon told me this little guy was going to test me, and he surely is! However, I knew this was most likely going to happen, and have been working hard with him to get us through it. I'm still doing a lot of basic obedience, which he is still doing well with. I've also start concentrating on "watch me" over the past couple days, especially on our walks where there are so many distractions. We've also been concentrating on "leave it" and "drop it", two things critical for every Lab to know!!

    Sophie and Brooks

Ok Sophie you sit there looking pretty while I eat the tractor!

Give it, give it, give it!!!!

And this is why Dad says I need to learn "leave it" and "drop it"!!!

Even though Dad says I've been a jerk, my drive is still awesome!

And Chasing Sophie is too much fun!

And for some comic relief! Sometimes taking a treat can be HARD!

I refuse to believe that sweet little fuzz ball can be a jerk! I claim first rights to refute this statement in 3 weeks when Latte enters our world

Ah, Brooks. So adorable! Looks like a good, "Watch me" in the first pic. And I love how Sophie's sitting in place watching Brooks scamper about. I get a kick out of seeing & hearing about Brooks each week, thanks!

They are both lovely and adorable. How cute is Sophie with that kind of sit.

Oh Brooks! He is such a sweet pup! I can't even imagine him being a jerk, lol!

And I know it's Brook's thread but I have to comment on how beautiful Sophie is. Her coat is so shiny and she has such a sweet expression.

If he's a jerk, he's one cutie of a jerk. Sophie looks more relaxed now.

Oh man, I remember those jerk days but surely they didn't last that long, right? (say yes, I'm dreaming of another puppy).

Brooks seems to be nailing that perfect lab combination of handsome and goofy.

Barry--it's just the age. I'm sure in no time the jerk stage will be no more. You're such a good daddy that I'm sure you and Brooks will get through this in flying colors.
