    It's Almost Time!!!

We pick up our little chocolate chip on Sunday! We have the pen set up (for when we're at work.....still working on DH to get a dog walker to come in) and the regular crate set up for short times away. We also have the plastic travel crate ready to go.....our truck is big but the door opening isn't big enough to fit the wire crates into it. We have Nature's Miracled the carpets to get any and all animal smells gone.......like 4 times. We have baby gates, collars and leashes, food and water bowls, food, grooming supplies, toys, treat bags and training leads, clickers, chewy bones and kongs, blankets, nature's miracle spray, bitter apple spray...We have to finish picking up and puppy proofing the house, but that's it! Also, our fence is now done! We haven't gotten the bill yet though and I'm sure that will be scary.

On to other news, my parent's picked their puppy, Jackson, up on the 21st. We met him a few weeks ago when we visited the breeder. We went to my parent's house yesterday with Mav. This was the first time Maverick met him. He did great! Jackson was a little unsure of Maverick at first, but Maverick listened well and worked really hard at being calm around Jackson. Within probably 30 minutes they were running around playing. Maverick settled when I asked him to and when I did ask, Jackson seemed to feed off of Maverick and they'd both lay down.

Our newly fenced yard with a happy Maverick!

Maverick posing in front of the "puppy palace". It has since changed shape. And it also got a new crate. The one pictured is about 10 years old and the tray cracked. Apparently they don't make crates that width anymore and we couldn't find a new tray the right dimensions. Even on chewy the dimensions were off. We rearranged our kitchen and living room for the palace, but it's only temporary so no big deal!

Maverick and Jackson. Sorry the pic is on its side. A few seconds earlier they were laying nose to nose and licking each others feet. We weren't quick enough for that shot, but this one is cute too.

Mav and Jackson again. I think they really liked each other!
