    Brooks at 16 weeks

Brooks continues to grow at a pretty good rate. I swear there are days when I think he looks bigger from the time I go to work and get home. He weighed in a a solid 34.4 pounds this week. He's now 20 pounds heavier than when he arrived 8 weeks ago. He has been teething, a few adult teeth are coming through on the bottom in front. I'll be happy when he looses the canines, those things are like razor blades!!!

We had our first puppy class on Wednesday this week. Of course he was the puppy who barked and carried on for the first 20 minutes or so. Once he settled down and I could get him to focus he did pretty well. He's like a little sponge when it comes to training. I haven't added in anything new this week, we've just continued to work on all the normal obedience stuff. He has also made a lot of progress with bringing things back to hand when we do play retrieves.

Overall I am very pleased with how he is developing physically, and how well he is doing with training. I would have to say he is the highest drive puppy I've ever had. Even with the high drive he is very biddable and eager to please.

    The incredible shrinking tractor!

Come on Dad, suns in my eyes!!!!

    Sophie, I'm catching up!!!

Is that the ice cream man I hear??

    Gotta get it!!!!!

    Locked on!

    Got it!!!

Just wait til I'm a big boy!!!

He's always smiling. I'm sure treats follow all this posing so Sophie will be sad when he's full grown.

Brooks is growing up too fast! He is such a cutie, and he sure looks good with a duck in his mouth!
