Brooks is holding together pretty well for his age! I know mine do wonky things when they start teething, and they are legs and ears and tails. :-) They are so fun and cute, still puppies, but you see they aren't babies anymore. My gurls are about 50lbs now.
She will let him know when it's enough, but Brooks is quite persistent, and will go right back in!
It's been over 30 years since we've had a coffee table! Learned early on they just aren't practical with Labradors in the house!
I know! At least he's pretty much stopped flagging it now! I think he was doing because his tail was too heavy to stick straight out!
DW and I were out picking tomatoes and I looked up to see what the dogs were up to. I told her he really looks like a proper dog now!
One of his nicknames is Mr Happy, as he's always smiling!
We were just outside with the dogs and they were playing bitey face and chase. One thing I've noticed is Brooks is much more coordinated than Sophie and Bruce were at the same age. He can really GO when he want too.
He's gorgeous!
I remember when Hoku's tail seemed so long for her, and I was wondering how she'd ever grow into it (and if it would ever thicken out).
By now, it's in perfect proportion, not only an otter tail, but about has thick and wide as an entire otter.
I love watching Brooks grow. I love his smiles.

I think he'll be fun for you. Maybe not as "thick" of a dog as Sophie or Bruce but should make up for it in desire/ willingness to please. I LOVE fun dogs!

I love him, he is gorgeous. Aimees tail is looking normal now, I wondered about her long, thin tail too. I kept looking at it thinking where the hell did that come from
Brooks gives me bad puppy fever and my puppy isnt even 1 yet

I thought Maverick was a dud with a super long tail. I never thought he'd grow into it!

Linus' tail was so long. His dad's breeder commented that she wondered if he'd accidentally choke himself with it if he wagged to hard! He never did grow into it. He and a few of his siblings ended up with career-ending banana tails and to make matters worse, the fur doesn't wrap.
In the scheme of things, his tail is fine. He is an excellent swimmer. And, ironically, his tail is what non-conformation people comment on all the time. It swings as he heels along all jaunty like and when we are in the field, even in deep cover, the red tip (and when I say "tip" I mean about six inches worth of tail) wags a certain way when he's found the bird while the rest of him blends into the tall dry grass, so I always know when to call him in. His biggest fault comes in handy!
