Ahh, the yellows might be easier to photograph but they don't shine like a black dog.

Yellows are definitely easier to photograph, but in the right light I think a black Lab is stunning.

Love his ears-stunning. And the black pigment of his lips is just beautiful.

Boy, he went thru the puppy stage awful fast-two blicks of an eye and he is now a real DOG. I really do think you got the pick of the litter!!!!

I am in complete agreement! I was a little hesitant about getting a yellow boy, as I've always felt that a male black Lab was the epitome of the breed. Once I made the decision to get a yellow boy I was so very fortunate that windycanyon had a litter coming with yellows. There were 3 yellow males in the litter, and there was just something that kept drawing my eye to the puppy who I would eventually get. There were many emails and a long conversation I had with Anne, and we both felt Brooks would be the best puppy for me. There is no doubt in my mind that somewhere up there, Bruce is looking down and is very happy to see this yellow boy here with me.
