We are kinda in the same boat. We have a 3YO (Mocha) and a 15 week old (Latte) and they are besties. We are lucky in that he plays to match her level of play. We supervise their play at all times and we have an expen in the kitchen for Latte. If play gets to rough or has gone on too long she gets a break in her pen. As for play Latte is a bit more of an alpha when it comes to play and she initiates play most times. Mocha has put her in her place twice after she played to hard and caused him to yelp. It was a correction but it was not to sever. Just enough to say, That was a line you crossed back there! Watch their play and keep the puppy safe.

Congratulations on your new puppy! My yellow girl was just a little over two and a half years when we added our second girl, black this time, to the mix.

Rooney(baby) is now roughly 6 months and Piper has turned three. For the most part they have worked things out, mostly because Roo has grown in size. At our house it is more the puppy who is the instigator vs the dog. Piper has yet to correct the little demon and I think at this point she won't. I try to keep an eye on them and when I can tell puppy is super energetic (like first thing in the morning) I make them go outside.

I don't think Roo will every be able to catch Piper so she can just run from the little monster, plus all the chasing wears Roo out pretty fast. I think once your dogs get a little closer in size things will even out for you. Good luck and have fun-they get so big, so fast
