I didnt like Zoey much at that age either. It didnt last long at all. Stay calm and consistent, it will pass. Make sure he is getting enough exercise, I think it was about that age when Zoey started to need alot more stimulation, mental and physical
And the dogs are always funner after I have finished a bottle of wine
My pup (seven months tomorrow) went from sweet and biddable to little stinker starting a few weeks ago. It seems she's forgotten 'leave it' and 'come', and there's more of a crazy look in her eyes when she plays. All of my dogs have gone through it to some extent (some worse, some not as much), and they do eventually get better. When it gets better varies with the individual, but it will. In the meanwhile, all that prior training needs to be reinforced and alcohol consumed.

Sounds like your pup has entered the "teenage times". 6 months they get that "they know what's best for them". This is the time where bad habits can arise. Stay strong. Keep up with the training. This too shall pass.

We're right there with you in the teenage phase. At the moment, Bobby has been renamed "Sir Butthead of Bumville." His theme song at the moment is Troublemaker by Olly Murs, particularly the chorus,
Trouble troublemaker, yeahI find myself singing the chorus pretty often and it helps me vent my frustration. Bobby has forgotten how to walk properly on the leash and we are back to basics with training. After four days, we have finally managed to move past walking up and down the street for half an hour to three streets in 45 minutes. We do basic puppy push-up drills everyday and are retraining a couple commands. "Leave it" has become get it as fast as possible and "drop" has become chew faster and swallow in Bobby's mind.
That's your middle name, oh oh oh...
I know you're no good but you're stuck in my brain
And I wanna know...
Why does it feel so good but hurt so bad, oh oh oh?
My mind keeps saying,
"Run as fast as you can."
I say, "I'm done," but then you pull me back, oh oh oh...
I swear you're giving me a heart attack
Troublemaker!
I remember reading a post by Michigal/Sue which said something along the lines of "...the dogs with the most mischief in their eyes become the best dogs." We can't wait until Bobby's brain is sent to him at 2 years.
All I can advise is to keep up firm and consistent training, add in NILIF (as PopTop suggested) and up mental and physical stimulation. I've found Bobby is way more energetic than he was as a puppy so we've upped free play and training.

HAHAHAHA! Oh boy, don't even get me started on the counter-surfing. He is absolutely shameless and does it right in front of you. If you're eating, you better watch out because you can be sure Bobby is nearby and ready to lunge at any opportunity. Just today I was holding a sandwich and I was going out into the backyard after sending him out to pee. He decided to unexpectedly jump up and nab half of my peanut butter sandwich. I thought I'd throw a frisbee around while I eat but Bobby decided to stalk me instead and when I crouched down to pick up the frisbee, he snatched another half!
Stealing seems to run in the family.

Been there!
This was when I discovered this forum as I couldn't figure out why Labs were the most popular family dogs. I was reassured that things would get better and they sure did. Hang in there! Someday, you will look back fondly on this phase, when he is so good you can't even believe he was ever that naughty.

Been there, don't worry it will pass. In a year or so you'll look back and chuckle!

We aren't at that stage yet but I think I better start buying wine by the case! Everyone's stories had me laughing! It's funny when it's not happening to you, right?
